Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy explains the consumer health data that UGC Mediakits ("Weight Class", "we") collects through the Weight Class app, where it comes from, who it is shared with, and how you can access it, delete it or withdraw your consent, as required by Washington's My Health My Data Act.
1. Consumer health data we collect, and why
- Body and goal details: your sex, date of birth, height, weight and weigh-ins, goal, goal weight, weekly pace, activity level and diet, and, if you add them, your body measurements and progress photos. We use them to calculate your daily calorie, macro, fiber and water targets and to show your progress. Progress photos are shown only to you and are never sent to AI providers.
- Food and nutrition: the meals you log (photos, descriptions, notes, barcodes, foods and amounts), the alcoholic drinks you log, the calories, macros, vitamins and minerals estimated for them, and your water, saved meals, remembered foods, supplements and the day drafts and weekly check-ins you ask for. We use them to show what you ate against your targets.
- Restaurant menus (What to order): the menus you scan (the list of dishes, the restaurant's name and each dish's estimate, kept for 30 days), which chain menu was your free try, the foods you choose to skip, and the dishes you log or save from a menu with where their numbers came from. We use them to rank a menu for what's left of your day. Menu photos are kept only until their dishes have been read, and on an iPhone they never leave the phone.
- Medicine (only if you turn on GLP-1 mode): the medicine, form, dose and schedule you enter, the medicines you took before, the doses (with injection site and side) and side effects you log, and the pen and vial counts you enter. We use them to show your dose day, supply and history. We never give dosing advice or calculate doses.
- Estimates about you: what an AI model estimates a meal photo, description or menu dish contains, and how confident it is. We use them to fill in your meals and rank menus.
- Your choices: whether you allowed AI analysis and turned on Apple Health or Health Connect sync. We use them to respect those choices. If you let the app read your steps, workouts and sleep from Apple Health or Health Connect, that data stays on your phone: we never receive it.
We use consumer health data only to provide Weight Class to you. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.
2. Where it comes from
- from you: what you enter and the photos you take in the app;
- from Weight Class: the targets we calculate and the estimates made from what you give us; and
- from public nutrition databases (USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts), for the nutrition facts of the foods and products you log.
4. Your rights and how to use them
- Confirm and access: email support@ugcmediakits.com to ask whether we collect or share your consumer health data, for a copy of it, and for a list of the third parties we shared it with and how to contact them.
- Delete: in the app (Profile → Delete account), on our account deletion page, or by email. We delete your data from our systems and our service providers', and from backups when they expire within 30 days.
- Withdraw consent: turn off AI analysis in Profile → Preferences → AI meal analysis, turn off Apple Health or Health Connect sync or reading in Profile, turn off or delete GLP-1 mode, delete your measurements or progress photos, or delete your account.
We answer requests within 45 days. If we need more time, we may extend this once by 45 days and will tell you why. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours.
Appeal: if we don't act on your request, reply to our answer to appeal. We will tell you in writing what we decided within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
